Here’s the info to get you back in to your account as quickly as possible.

First, try the easiest thing: if you remember your password but it isn’t working, make sure that Caps Lock is turned off, and that your email address is spelled correctly, and then try again.

If your password still isn’t working, it’s time to reset your password (this is for Microsoft accounts Only).

If you have local accounts, please skip these steps and go to the Factory Recovery.

To reset your password:

Copy this link: to your browser.

Choose the reason why you need your password to reset, and then click Next.

Enter the email address you used when you made your Microsoft account. This could be any email address, or an email ending in a Microsoft domain like

Enter the characters you see on the screen (this lets us know you’re not a robot), then click Next.

If you’ve added security info to your account, we’ll send a one-time code to the alternate phone number or email address you gave us. After you enter that code on the next screen, you’ll be able to make a new password.

If it still doesn’t work for whatever reason, you may have to do a Factory Recovery to the tablet.

NOTE: When performing factory recovery, all previously purchased apps are stored under your Microsoft Account.

Make sure that the keyboard of the tablet is connected to the device.

Power on the tablet and while the Venturer logo is on the screen, press Fn + F9 on the keyboard. You will then see a blue screen and from there, you can either do a factory recovery to the device or backup files, etc.

To do a factory recovery, you must choose Troubleshoot from the option menu and go from there.

Windows 10 is safer and more secure thanks to Windows Defender and Windows Firewall.

When you start up Windows 10 for the first time, Windows Defender is on and working to protect your PC by scanning for malicious software. It will turn itself off if you install another antivirus app.

Windows Defender uses real-time protection to scan everything you download or run on your PC. Turn off real-time protection temporarily by going to Start  and selecting Settings > Update & security > Windows Defender.

Windows Firewall filters info coming into your PC from the Internet, blocking potentially harmful programs. To turn it off, go to the search box and enter firewall. Then select Windows Firewall > Turn Windows Firewall on or off.

What’s New
Windows 10 is full of new features and improvements. Take a look at the highlights!

Ready, set, Start menu

The Start menu is back—and it’s more personal, more organized, and more fun than before.

Go to Start  on the taskbar. You’ll find your most used apps on the left, the All apps list, and shortcuts to other locations on your PC, like File Explorer and Settings.

Get apps, music, and more……

The Store is a one-stop shop for music, videos, games, and apps.
Try out an app before you buy it, or pick a free one. Your Windows 10 apps will work on all your Windows 10 devices.

Cortana can get it done

Cortana, your personal assistant, is right on your desktop. Ask her to set up a meeting or send an email to a friend. She can even find your files for you and tell you jokes. Select the search box and type what you want Cortana to do, or just select the microphone to talk with her instead.

Cortana is only available in certain countries/regions, and some Cortana features might not be available everywhere. If Cortana isn’t available or is turned off, you can still use search.

Rule the web with Microsoft Edge

Microsoft Edge is the first browser that lets you take notes, write, doodle, and highlight directly on WebPages. Use the reading list  to save your favorite articles for later, and then read them in reading view . Plus, Cortana is built in to Microsoft Edge to help you do things faster and easier.

Where you can type, you can write

Microsoft Edge isn’t the only app you can write in. Use your finger, or your mouse to write everywhere you could type before. Or just doodle in OneNote. We won’t tell.

All your photos in one place

No more endless searching. The Photos app collects all your photos and videos in one place. From your phone, your PC, and OneDrive. Then, it organizes your memories into albums for you to enjoy and share.

Cortana is your clever new personal assistant.

Cortana will help you find things on your PC, manage your calendar, track packages, find files, chat with you, and tell jokes. The more you use Cortana, the more personalized your experience will be.
To get started, type a question in the search box on the taskbar. Or select the microphone icon and talk to Cortana. (Typing works for all types of PCs, but you need a mic to talk.)

Here are some things you can say to Cortana:

• How old are you?
• Tell me a joke.
• Show me the latest NBA scores.
• How many calories in a boiled egg?
• Put swimming on my calendar for tomorrow.
• Change my 3 PM event to 4.
• What’s happening this weekend?

Try this: Set a reminder
One of the things Cortana can do for you is to give you reminders. For example, type or say, “Remind me to call Alex at 2 PM.” Make the meeting recurring if you want to.
The reminder will appear at 2 PM, along with any info you’ve added to it.

Hey Cortana!

Set Cortana to hear you anytime you say “Hey Cortana.” Select the search box on the taskbar to open Cortana home. Then select Notebook  > Settings and turn on Let Cortana respond when you say “Hey Cortana.”

Cortana is only available in certain countries/regions, and some Cortana features might not be available everywhere. If Cortana isn’t available or is turned off, you can still use search.

The Start menu is back and better than ever! Just select the Start button  on the taskbar. Next, make it yours by pinning apps and programs, or moving and regrouping tiles. If you need more space, resize the Start menu to make it bigger.

Your apps and programs—right at your fingertips

Get to File Explorer, Settings, and other apps you use often from the left side of the Start menu. To see all your apps and programs, select All apps.

Seeing an arrow to the right of an app? Select it to see app-specific tasks or items.

You have the power

Lock or sign out of your PC, switch to another account, or change your account picture by selecting your name at the top of the Start menu.

And when you’re ready to step away for a while, the power button is right there at the bottom of the Start menu so you can put your PC to sleep, restart it, or turn it off completely.

If you want to make other changes to how the Start menu looks, you can do so in Settings. Open the Start menu , then go to Settings> Personalization > Start to change which apps and folders appear in the Start menu.

If you have the Office mobile app (ex. word mobile, excel mobile etc) and can only access these apps in read-only mode, please follow these simple instructions.

1. Tap on the start button and find “All Apps”
2. Under “All Apps”, open “Get Office Apps”
3. scroll to bottom of the screen and select “Get office on all your devices”
4. In the web page that have just popped up, scroll down and under “Office 365 subscription”, select “Try for free”
5. Login to your Microsoft account and following the on screen directions
6. Enter the “Office mobile” app and logout of your Microsoft account
7. Log back in to your Microsoft Account and enjoy the Office mobile App!

Windows 10 has Mail and Calendar apps already built in. Find them on Start, or enter mail or calendar in the search box on the taskbar.

Email and scheduling rockstar

You’ve found the apps, now make them useful by adding your accounts. If this is the first time you’re opening either of the apps, you’ll see the Welcome page. Follow the instructions to set up your account. Otherwise:

1. In the Mail or Calendar app, select Settings at the bottom left.
2. Go to Accounts > Add account, choose your account type, and then follow the instructions.

Your mail and calendar start syncing as soon as your account is set up.

A couple of handy things to keep in mind:

• After you’ve calmed down from the excitement of adding one account, you can go back to Settings to add more.

• No need to add the same account twice—when you add it to one app, the other app automatically connects to the same account. Switch back and forth between the two by selecting the Mail or Calendar icons at the bottom left side of the window.

To connect a printer on a network, go to Start  , then select Settings > Devices >Add a printer or scanner. Choose the one you want and select Add device.

If your printer connects to your PC by a cable, just plug in the cable. Your printer will connect automatically, and your PC will download the right drivers. You can use it right away.

If you’re having trouble connecting to Wi-Fi

Here are some things to try:

• Make sure Wi-Fi is on. Go to Start , then select Settings > Network & Internet > Wi-Fi to check. If a network you expect to see appears in the list, select the network > Connect.

• Make sure the physical Wi-Fi switch on your laptop is turned on. (An indicator light usually shows when it’s on.)

• Go to Start  , then select Settings > Network & Internet > Airplane mode and turn off airplane mode if it’s on.

• Move closer to the router or access point.

Select the network you want > Connect, then enter the password and follow the instructions. That’s it — you’re connected! The Wi-Fi icon will appear in the taskbar.

The Micro USB port is only for charging purpose, not with On-The-Go (OTG) function and not able to connect to other USB device. This Micro USB is mainly to let the user charges with normal mobile phone micro USB device, in case the user forgets to bring the 9V power adaptor.
